Asterius: The Forgotten Prince
A steampunk reinterpretation of the Minotaur myth, inspired by Jorge Luis Borges' 'The House of Asterion.' In this reimagined world, Asterión is the forgotten heir of Crete — condemned from birth to live imprisoned in a mechanical labyrinth built to punish him for a sin he did not commit.
Set in a Crete ruled by King Minos, where Dedal-E — a reimagined Daedalus — has been forced to build the Labyrinth: a living machine of steam, metal, and impossible geometry whose mechanisms are in constant motion. Asterión's imprisonment is not only physical, but psychological and symbolic, turning the Labyrinth into a representation of his own fragmented identity.
Crete — City Overview
The City of Crete
Designed as an extension of the project universe, combining classical architecture with industrial elements to convey social hierarchy — a city dominated by the power of Minos. Wide composition defines scale and perspective, using atmospheric depth and grisaille lighting to separate planes.
